AMDG Financial, a fee-only fiduciary financial advisory firm serving clients in 23 U.S. states and the District of Columbia, announced that Chris Carlson, CFP®, C(k)P®, AIF®, is now an equity partner in the firm. Carlson, who joined AMDG Financial in 2016, works with clients as an adviser. He is one of four partners, along with Rebecca J. Stroud, CFA®, AIF®, who serves as director of operations and client service, Ramey Becker, director of communication, and Wayne B. Titus III, CPA/PFS, AIFA®, who founded AMDG Financial in 2002.
“Since he started with the firm in 2016, Chris has been an integral member of our team, helping to streamline many of our internal processes to improve the client experience,” said Titus. “We are thrilled to welcome him as a partner and know that he will continue to make valuable contributions as a member of our leadership team.”
“As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM professional, I’m obligated to place the interests of my clients before my own or those of the firm,” said Carlson. “When I started at AMDG Financial, I was impressed by the firm’s efforts to make sure every process aligned with best practices promoted by the Centre for Fiduciary Excellence (CEFEX), and by its focus on creating a culture where service to the community is paramount. I look forward to being a good steward of AMDG Financial’s success, in addition to the financial well-being of our clients.”
In addition to the CFP® credential, Carlson passed the FINRA Series 65 Investment Adviser Representative exam shortly after joining AMDG Financial. Next, he achieved the Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®) designation, which prepares investment professionals to carry out their fiduciary responsibilities. Later, he earned the C(k)P® designation, which qualifies him to advise on company retirement plans.
Carlson holds a master’s degree in health and risk communication and a bachelor’s degree in organizational communication from Michigan State University. Prior to joining AMDG Financial, he worked as a commercial insurance agent. A resident of Livonia, Carlson and his wife, Mia, have two daughters.
